Goal: understand the development of a logotype as an element of branding

A logotype is the face of a brand.

A logotype and logo are not the same thing. A logo has no letters. A logotype is composed of one or more letters and can contain a mark, image or logo.

A logotype can have letters inside or outside the logo.
